Thanksgiving 2010

Here is the Robinson family at Thanksgiving! We had a delicious meal prepared by my wonderful mom, Aunt Barbara, and April. It was fun to catch up on life and swap stories.

Ricky and I are still in Fayetteville, AR and living in the same apartment for the past 6 years. Eva is now 19 months old and growing so fast. She is running everywhere now and keeps us on our toes. She loves books, sticker books, puzzles, her stuffed white puppy, and dancing. She's a very easy baby and keep us smiling every day. I'm a stay at home mom now, kind of forced to. I was let go from Foxwood a few months after I got back from maternity leave. My mind wasn't fully there, so they told me to go be a mom. It was a relief to me, I was always thinking of and missing Eva when I was at work. I've also been selling Premier Designs jewelry for the past 6 years and enjoyed it very much. I'm not doing as much as I'd like with my business, but it's a short term goal of mine to get my business going! Ricky is working as seasonal help at Best Buy. Not really enjoying it, but he is getting paid, so that's kind of all that matters right now. He did recently go back to the local NBC station on the morning crew. He really enjoys working there and the people he works with, even though the pay isn't what we need it to be.

The end of July, Ricky called me while us girls were at the beach and told me that he got let go from the bank. It's been a rough patch for us, but know it's only a season in life. God has blessed us so much over the past 5 months and providing money for us to pay rent each month and allowing us to live in our apartment for another month. We keep thinking that it'll be our last month, but then we get blessed with one more. We have always kept food on the table and paid our bills, just no entertainment and managing our money more closely. Our faith has grown much stronger since July and continues to grow. It's been a humbling time as well. We love to help others and continue to bless those around us with our time.

The rest of the people in this picture all live in Little Rock, AR. It's great to see so much of my family when we go and visit. My brother and his family (standing up) live about 10 minutes from my parents. Chase travels some with his job during the week and is home on the weekends. Couldn't tell you what he does, still don't understand it. HAHA! April is working part time while Chloe' is at school. Chloe' is 15 and a Freshman at Central High School (her parent's alma mater). She loves music and playing the piano. She's a very gifted pianist and has composed and won many competitions over the past several years.

My dad is the used truck sales manager at the International truck dealership. I always love hearing the stories he comes home with. He teaches the 5th & 6th grade Awana boys at their church on Wednesday nights. My mom is quite the busy woman. She teaches the 5th & 6th grade Awana girls. She has also been writing a bible study on the book of Job. I've been working on the cover for them. I can't wait until it is published and go through the study myself. She loves spending time with her granddaughters and family. My parents take care of my mom's mom who lives directly behind them. It's great to have Granny so close.

My goal is to update our blog at least once a month with pictures and updates, letting you know what's going on with our lives and how Eva is growing. Please pray that Ricky will be able to find a full time job soon somewhere. We love it here in Fayetteville, our church, and friends. Pray for wisdom and guidance in decisions we'll have to make, that it'll be for the Lord's will and best for our family.

If you don't see Eva right away as you walk in our apartment, try the big blue collapseable tunnel, courtesy of her Aunt Janna and Uncle Corey.

Bathtime is always fun time.

Looking on my iphone, I have close to 400 photos. I would estimate that 390 of those are of this, one of God's most beautiful creations, my little Eva. I'm missing her this week because she's having fun with her mother, Gigi, Aunt April and cousin Chloe at the beach. Ironically, our last post on this blog is of that same beach but from last summer. I guess blogging is not our strong suit.
