For those of you who just watched the video of Eva, here are some still photos at different angles. She's already quite the squirmy little girl!

The Heartbeat...

We went for our November doctor's appointment on Tuesday. Ricky got off work for the appointment. We got to hear the heartbeat, very cool! The baby's heartbeat is 148, so we'll see what that means. I haven't gained any weight since my last visit, my doctor said that's normal. She said I'll be gaining about 20-25 pounds throughout the entire pregnancy. I'm sure with the holidays and parties coming up, I'll start gaining in no time. :) I'm not sick any more, just get tired more quickly and find myself hungry all the time. Guess I'd better get use to it. I did get my flu shot while I was there, fun times. And I had blood drawn to be tested for Downs Syndrome and two others I don't remember. We'll get those results in a week.

Granny and Mom came up a few weeks ago while I was unemployed and we went shopping at Kohl's and we got the baby some non-gender outfits. We had to keep counting the months to see how old the baby will be around the fall time and summer months. We were trying to buy near the right size for long sleeve and short sleeve.

I'm looking forward to feeling the baby move and kick. I know it does since I saw it on the first unofficial ultrasound.

At our December appointment we'll get to find out whether we get to name our baby Eva Caroline or Daniel Benjamin. My great aunt was Eva and Caroline is a form of both our mother's names, Carol. Daniel is Ricky's brother's middle name and Benjamin is my brother's first name, but he goes by his middle name, Chase. It will definitely be easier to buy stuff for the nursery and buying adorable outfits.

I can't believe I'll be 4 months along during Thanksgiving week! Time has really flown by. We just calculated that in 2 1/2 weeks we'll be half way to meeting the little one!

I did find a great job. It's a brand new company only about 3 or 4 weeks old. It's called Foxwood Sports and is going to be doing exactly the same thing as AWA was doing. I really like the guys I work with. We don't have titles so it's more of a laid back environment and we all have a say in things and can lay our ideas on the table. I'm currently the graphic designer and have already designed a logo, mock posters and schedule cards and magnets, a fax cover letter, letterhead, an information sheet for athletic directors, a price sheet for clients of the ad sizes and cost. We have a few schools that are close to signing up with us. So when they do then I'll be put to work and soon be designing posters. I'm excited to get into the creative mode again.

I would post pictures, but both of our digital cameras are "sick" and we're trying to get them fixed or shopping for a new and better one. We hope to get one soon so we can take "Beer Belly" shots soon when I start showing. It's kind of hard for me to tell if my "gut" is mostly me or some of the baby. I'm guessing it's mostly me. :)

We'll keep you updated! Love you all!

Baby's first pictures!

Here is our little bundle of joy! Good luck trying to figure out what is what in these pictures. :) I went to the doctor today and everything looks fine, right on schedule, 11 weeks along! As my doctor was trying to take these pictures, the baby was squirming around like crazy. It was so cool to watch. I've lost about 9 pounds because I haven't really felt like eating being sick and all, I was just eating what I could. Ricky couldn't get off work to go with me. He's a very proud Daddy anyway. We're looking forward for the next appointment in a month where we get to hear the heartbeat and the following month is the official ultrasound and find out the sex of the baby. We don't care if it's a boy or girl, just that it's healthy. Which so far it is. It is more real now that we have pictures. I was sick for most of the week last week, so I'm hoping I'm on the upswing of it all. I'm feeling more normal this week. I hope to feel it kicking in the next few weeks. I'll keep you posted on the progress. Enjoy!

GUESS WHAT!!

Yes, it has finally happened, WE ARE PREGNANT! I'll be 11 weeks along on Sunday. We are VERY excited and can't wait to welcome our little one on May 10th (Mother's Day) or whenever the baby decides to make an appearance. My due date is 12 days after my birthday and 12 days before Ricky's. We don't care if it's a boy or girl, we just want a healthy baby.

We haven't bought anything for the baby yet, we are wanting to find out the gender before buying too much. Ricky's looking forward to registering, he had fun registering for our wedding.

I'm feeling ok, just some mild "morning sickness". More like morning, afternoon, or evening. I'm just trying to eat what I can.

I'm currently not working, which is actually a good thing right now. The company I worked for about a total of 5 years closed it's doors on October 8th. I've filed for unemployment and I can get on Ricky's insurance without interuption at Arvest Bank. I'm actually hoping to get my jewelry business off and running. I've been wanting to do it full time, especially when we started having kids. So what better time than the present? Ricky is going to stick it out at Arvest. He's not thrilled about going to work every day and talking to upset customers and taking phone calls, but will do it for the family. Hopefully, before too long, he will be able to apply for a different department there at Arvest.

That's what's new with us. Hope everyone else is doing well. We'd love to hear from you. Love you all! I hope to get pictures posted as I get bigger, I'm not really showing right now, just getting through the "sick" stage.

Destin, FL

Just letting you know we're not dead! :) I went to Destin with my family. Ricky had to work so he had to stay home and just hear about how wonderful the beach was. Poor baby, but I thought about him every day, so it was kind of like he was there. Does that count? Enjoy the pictures. We're still working on a little one, let you know as things develop.

Our New Niece!!

We went last weekend to meet our beautiful niece. We think she's adorable and think you'll agree. Ricky's brother, Jonathon, got sworn in as a police officer, how cool is that? We could have spent more time visiting, but we both had to be at work on Monday, bummer. We both got baby fever for one of our own. We'll be trying this summer for a baby, so there may be a little one to welcome next spring/summer!

San Diego Zoo

We went to the famous San Diego Zoo and saw all kinds of animals. Amber (Wayne and Marci's daughter) gave us the grand tour. Neither of us had been to a zoo in a long time, it was great being a kid again. The next morning we went to an awesome breakfast with David and April Heath. It's great to catch up on old college friends.

Long Awaited Post...

We're still alive! We've been traveling and enjoying being together since Ricky's return from Kuwait in October. Here is what we've been up to.

We went to San Diego in January. It was a great trip before Ricky started looking for a job. He worked at KNWA as the graphics operator on the morning crew while looking for another job. We stayed with Ricky's sister's in-laws, Wayne and Marci Rice. Great hospitality. We went on an hour cruise on the Hornblower of the San Diego bay. We also toured the USS Midway battleship. It was cool see and touch what the sailors first to be on the ship experienced. One day we took a drive up the coast and stopped at La Jolla Beach to take a walk on the beach. We saw a beautiful sunset and fought the cold and wind.
On April 9th, Ricky drove to Arvest Bank on Weddington and walked into his new job as a customer service representative. He's been in training and hasn't been cut loose yet. He thinks that he'll enjoy it and has learned a lot so far about investing and money. We're looking forward to seeing our savings account grow with two full time incomes.
